Patti Nieto had always wanted to be a journalist as far back as she can remember. After earning her Bachelors at Xavier University in Cincinnati and a Masters Degree from Barry University in Miami she returned to the town she grew up in and began her professional career in the Tampa/St. Petersburg area at WTSP Channel 10 in 1993. She started simply freelancing a few days a week, but quickly earned a full-time position behind the News Assignment Desk. Patti remained an employee there for seven years and helped the station win several Emmy Awards for breaking news.
After her son was born, Patti took some time off from the news business. She returned in 2001, working for ABC Action News for several years. She was then recruited to help launch a new News operation at WTTA WB 38 “News at 10,” and later, she worked as a Producer and Assignment Desk Editor for Bay News 9.
Patti joined Kim Francis Communications in April of 2009. She uses her 15 years of experience in the Television News business as well as her cultivated contacts in the community to help clients businesses grow and thrive in this ever-changing economic environment. In the short time she has been with the agency, Patti has secured significant media exposure for clients in Tampa and across the country.
Patti is an avid sports fan, and most weekends, you can find her on the sidelines cheering her son on as he plays Pee Wee Football for the Pasco Predators or watching her favorite professional sports team the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday afternoons.
